Thailand’s beloved rock band, Slot Machine, will visit Korea in March as part of a global tour to commemorate its two-decade journey.
Titled the “SLOT MACHINE: EXIT to ENTER – TOUR 2024,” the series of concerts kicks off in Bangkok, Thailand, before making its way to Taiwan, Singapore and Mexico. Notably, this tour marks Slot Machine’s inaugural solo concert in Korea, featuring a dynamic showcase of over 30 hit songs over the course of the two-hour performance.
From their roots as a high school ensemble, Slot Machine evolved into a Thai musical symbol, blending modern rock with a distinct Thai identity since their official debut in 2004.
The band’s 2011 album, “Cell,” shot the band to fame, earning them a total of nine awards in Thailand. The band enjoyed consecutive success, being nominated as “Best Southeast Asian Act” at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2013, 2015 and 2018.
Slot Machine continued to capture the hearts of global audiences with the release of “Free Fall” in 2022, the theme song for the popular Thai drama “KinnPorsche the Series La Forte.”
Slot Machine initially captivated the Korean audience with a standout performance at the Jisan Valley Rock Music & Arts Festival in 2016. Building on this success, they made waves in 2017 by co-hosting “Asia On Tour” in North America, alongside Korean sensation Kiha & The Faces and Japanese rock icon Miyavi.
Slot Machine’s concert in Korea is set for March 14 at 8 p.m at Myunghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul. Exclusive ticket sales will be available starting Jan. 19 at 12 p.m., through Interpark Tickets.
