Cadillac Teases Two New EVs For China, One May Slot Beneath The Optiq – CarScoops

Cadillac is preparing an assortment of electric vehicles for China and the company has given us a peek at two upcoming crossovers
Cadillac introduced the 2025 Optiq last week as their entry-level electric crossover. However, it might not hold that position for long as the company used the Guangzhou Auto Show to tease two upcoming models.
The automaker was coy on specifics, but the General Director of Cadillac Sales and Marketing at SAIC-GM said, “As the world’s largest EV market, China is strategically important for Cadillac.” Tim Heile went on to say “By the end of next year, Cadillac will introduce more new EVs in China in addition to a rejuvenated internal combustion engine vehicle portfolio as the brand strives to fulfill customers’ diverse preferences and reinvent luxury mobility.”
That’s not much to go on, but the crossover in the middle of the teaser appears to be roughly the same size as the Optiq. However, it appears to have a flatter roof, a shorter hood, and a less upright front end. We can also see a less rakish windscreen.

The crossover on the far right appears significantly smaller and taller than the others. We can also see a pronounced shoulder line and several cues that appear to be shared with the aforementioned model.
With all that being said, the caption noted the picture is “for reference only” and implied the production models could vary. Regardless, it appears Cadillac is preparing an assortment of small EVs for China.
It remains unclear if the mystery models will be offered in America, but spy photographers have snapped a three-row Cadillac EV that is expected to serve as an XT6 successor. The model should slot between the Lyriq and Escalade IQ, although little is known about it at this point.
That could change shortly as Cadillac officials have previously announced plans to introduced three new EVs this year. Two of them, the Optiq and Escalade IQ, have already been introduced, so that leaves one left for a debut late this year.
