(WLUK) — One of Northeast Wisconsin's favorite on-air personalities is returning to the radio airwaves.
After spending the last year and a half outside of the radio studio, Otis Day has been added to 95.9 KISS-FM's talent lineup, Woodward Community Media announced Thursday.
Day will take over the station's weekday morning slot from 5 to 9 a.m. beginning Dec. 18. His hiring comes just over two weeks since KISS-FM abruptly canceled “The Jake and Tanner Show” after six years on the air.
Radio listeners know and love Day from his 24-year stint on 101.1 WIXX, the station he bid farewell to in March 2022.
Brand Manager Joe Marroe said he has no doubt the longtime radio personality will be successful in his new role with 95.9.
"Otis Day brings a unique blend of personality, fun, and authenticity that will mesh perfectly with our current lineup. His infectious energy will keep our audience coming back for more. I am thrilled to welcome him as a valuable member of the KISS FM family," Marroe said.
News of Day's return comes just two days after Jim Murphy, the longtime "Murphy in the Morning Show" host, retired following a 32-year career on air with WIXX.
